I am very sorry to say my baby Terry has got another suspected infection.
He has had a couple UTI's before, however he is now six and a half so it's taking a toll on him this time.
The vet did a urine test and there was a lot of blood. She has felt for bladder stones and cannot feel any however has advised he could have kidney stones or even renal failure. She would x ray him however feels he is not strong enough for this and would cause him stress. He wouldn't be anesthetised for the x ray but maybe sedated and this could cause issues.
I have been given Septrin for a two week cause to see if it is an infection. He has lost a lot of weight, and he was still small from the last infection he hasn't been able to gain weight from. So now he's extra tiny at 680g. I'm so scared this infection will push him over the edge
When Terry got back from the vets yesterday George was in a horrible mood and wouldn't stop humping Terry, but it was very aggressive - he was pinning him down and pulling his hair and George weighs about double Terry. It was also very hot and I could see Terry loosing his strength so I had to separate them for the night, for Terry's wellbeing. They have been re united today and getting along fine, were happy to see eachother again.
I just hope he's going to be ok.
