So British forum members will know what I mean when I refer to the "winds of Thursday"... well thank god I decided to keep the piggies in that day!

Only noticed this morning because I was staying at a friend's on Thursday night and it was dark when I got home yesterday, but the wind had picked up the hutch in the garden, thrown it onto its side and half way across the garden.

I can't even imagine the piggies being in it @)

this happened to me in janurary, unfortunately with the piggies inside it....thank god they were all ok and we were at home, otherwise i dont like to think what could have happened...its not even like the hutch wasnt heavy- its a double storey that weighs a ton! it has left me with a phobia of wind though...

^Yes mine is double storey and so heavy it's hard for me to move on my own... unbelievable how strong the wind must have been to throw it across the garden.

My piggies stay in a lot in winter... pretty much the entire months of Dec, Jan and Feb.

I keep a keen eye on the weather other times.

That's awful, it was very gusty on Thursday. Just glad all your pigs were safe. Maybe look at a way of securing the hutch to the ground on wall? We are getting crazy weather lately.

Very scary indeed! I have a double hutch outside in a shed for Bounty and Loki and Sky, Freya and Flora are indoors.

Now they are indoors AND upstairs as the river next to my house is on the brink of bursting its banks :-(

The wind was horrific, so was saturday night and yesterday! Alli kept thinking about were the poor animals that are housed outside. I am so glad mine are indoor piggies.

xx

^I like your double food bowl in your av... do you find it stops food fights?
