I can't remember which thread I saw it on, but thank you to whoever pointed me in the direction of horse blanket bags for washing my piggy fleece in. I didn't know the existed! No more chances of a damaged washing machine, or my laundry being embedded with Guinea pig fur!

They're fab, aren't they! My boys are on vetbed (and have been for years) and they get washed in horsewear bags. I would never go back to using anything else

God yes, I saw them mentioned on here, they are a must for any furry pet in my opinion.

:agr: I use mine all the time - and found out about them from this forum . So, it''s a thank you from me too !

Couldn't live without mine, and I also learnt about them on this forum.
I am actually quite cross I didn't know about them years ago when I had 4 dogs and a horse!

@Gem789 I've only just got mine but I got this one from Amazon. Mostly because it was on prime and I had washing to do! It is a much darker green in real life. No idea if it will last but I hope so. My washing machine was fur free after a few loads of fleece.

Edit: I can't make it show as not a flashing advert for Amazon when I paste the link. It was called pet laundry bag, sold by petwear. I got the biggest one!

How many vet beds can you fit in a bag? And do they come out clean? What happens to all the bits of hay etc? Just trapped in the bag? Thanks!

Can't answer how many vet beds - but, a jumbo bag is big enough for a machine load . As with any Guinea Pig laundry , it's best to brush off as much hay as possible before washing ( I'm sure you do that anyway ) . Yes - any surplus hay stays in the bag - but , better there than in the machine filter !
