Thank you for the lovely comments. I am positively beaming here, I'm so happy you all enjoy the latest pics.
You'll regret asking about names, especially with so many, but since you asked

...
The Boys
Each boy has a name which is a type of apple; this themed name is highlighted and the rest of the name explained after.
*Dexter
Pippin - Dexter was a random name suggested by my mum;
*Elijah
Ruben - Elijah kept his rescue name, it suits him perfectly and he has grown up with it;
*Errol
Alexander - Likewise with Errol; he's just Errol!
*
Franklyn Edward - We were convinced Franklyn was the name for him when two trucks of Franklin apples drove by while we were trying to decide on the name for sure.

Edward came about because one name we liked for him was Teddy, though it didn't quite fit. I call him "Franklyn Teddy Edward" much of the time.
The Girls
Some of the girls have the "old" theme - a flower/plant/herb name beginning with P. The new era for us was when Charlie died in March 2008, which is when the themes were changed for the girls. The new theme is second names featuring "rose", partly because many of the girls second names are tributes to the pigs who passed before them. A couple of the ladies do not come into the theme in any way...I just came up with names I liked!
*Breanna
Charleyrose - Bree was adopted three days after Charlie died; I wanted to honour him so named Bree after him. Breanna was simply on a shortlist of names I liked.
*Delilah Grace - I decided her name before she even arrived; again, just had a shortlist of names from baby books and found this suited her and the names went well together.
*Gwenivere
Petal - Guinevere means "white phantom", rather apt for a PEW pig! I was originally going to name her Merriweather, but it didn't suit so I looked for some Arthurian type names. I liked Gwendoline, and I found Guinevere on the same page and it just worked. I like unique names and spellings so I spelt it how it is said. Petal is the theme of "old", as Charlie was still around when I got Gwen.
*Jasmine
Peaches - Jasmine was my reserve name for her; I preferred Florida Peaches at the time! However, the nickname Florrie did not suit her so I needed a name which always worked for her, luckily Jasmine was ideal. Peaches is part of the "old" theme as well, also the Jasmine part fits the theme even better!
*Meghan
Lottie-Rose - Meghan's name was another result of scouring the baby names book. Lottie-Rose is a tribute to Lottie, who died 10 days before I adopted Meg (and Willa).
*Saffron
Willowrose - Lucky pick out of the baby book! Loved the name Willow, came up with Willowrose to fit the theme. Her first name was tough to choose but Saffron was unique and it stuck!
*Sophia Mae - Yet another lucky find. Sometimes a name just jumps out at you; after days of having no idea what to call her, I happened upon Sophia shortly after she arrived. What is so lovely about this pigs name is that she is named after her rescuer, Sophie! I chose Mae because I was expecting to adopt her in May (though it ended up being the end of April).
*Willamina
Tuppyrose - Willamina is a spelling variation on Wilhelmina. I wanted a very unique name people could spell as it was said! Originally I decided on Pippa, but something didn't quite seem right. One of the twins books has a character called Willa in; this seemed impossibly sweet and innocent and suited this pig perfectly. I like to have longer "official" names so I chose Willamina. Tuppyrose is a tribute to Tuppence (Tuppy) who died two days before I adopted Wila (and Meg).
Are you sorry you asked now? LOL. Most of them are lucky finds in baby names books. Only two pigs, Elijah & Errol, have kept their rescue names though.
