The 4am piggy!

Not sure what is going on with my piggy Sparky, he is a very noisy in your face piggy who loves attention and cuddles. A few nights ago he became quite distressed and noisy in the wee small hours starting off with wheeking and yelling and reducing to a unhappy chunter once he had been cuddled. He also took to swinging the ball that I put treats in, that hangs from his cage roof of the bars of his cage thus. This happened on a night when I was having a rough night and hadn't been too well for a couple of days.

Now he's taken to squawking his head off around 4am and has his cage is right next to my bedroom door (and pretty impossible to move) he usually wakes me up, he quickly settles and curls up and nods off once he's picked up and cuddled. I don't know what is behind his behaviour whether he has picked up that I was unwell or what, I know that he and his cage mate are not getting along as well as they used to but, there is not evidence that they have been fighting.

Any ideas? I am not bothered if he wakes me at 4am wanting attention, its my job, as his mummy to be there for him 24/7

I'm not sure why he's doing it, making it is for the attention :-\

Mabe theres a ghost making him distressed.
does the central heating come on at around that time mabe its that what is scaring him.

ooooh i dont have my piggies inside so i dont have that problem but maybe he needs afriend ? Does he have a friend :)
 
Yes he lives with Tommy, who is an adolesent so he's a bit grumpy at the minute. I don't think its the heating as that thermostitically set. Not sure about the ghost theory.

I think its Sparky being Sparky he is a very loud, demanding in your face piggy who once he spieds you not only yells for you but also chews the bars on his cage in desperation to be out for a cuddle and doesn't let up tlll he's cuddled. He loves human company and cuddles.
 
haha my wookie does the same thing. i think he might just be a prince like mine is. haha awwwws :smitten: :smitten:
