The girls will be going back to Suzy @GGPR in the next week or two to hopefully make some new friends to bring home. My daughter has already decided she wants them all to have names beginning with an A like her (she's Ava-Rose) so I thought I would start a new thread to share with you.
 
They are absolutely gorgeous. Good luck on finding them some friends, Suzy has lots of lovely piggies. I love looking at her web site. Were Aria and Alisa part of the big rescue Suzy had a few months ago with lots of babies?

Yes they were, Alisa was one of the pregnant sows, Aria is her daughter who was born in the rescue she also had a cute little boar who Suzy bonded with an older boar and got adopted.
 
It's lovely to see them settled in their forever home. It's not often we get to follow the rescued pigs on, I shall watch out for these two with interest. :luv:
 
Thanks 😊 I love seeing the bonding posts Suzy does and seeing the updates when they are home that some put up. Can't wait until it's their turn and will be keeping my fingers crossed that they don't go all stroppy divas and not bond with any of the sows but Suzy did say there are a lot of baby sows there at the moment so hoping for success 👏
 
So I had the not so bright idea to build my own made to measure table and C&C cage instead of buying a ready to build one. Next time I have a bright idea someone slap me please 🙄. I'm an accountant so should be good with numbers right! Wrong first mistake messed up on how much wood was needed to make the frame for the table 🤔so the table is now 4 inches shorter than what I wanted 😂. Second mistake correx/Proplex should be easy to cut to make a base, well it's not when your cage is bigger than the sheet cue second sheet and trying to join two bases together. Well it took a good couple of hours over 3 days and it's finally finished. It's not prefect but the girls like it which is the main thing. Wasn't too bad cost wise either price breakdown was
Hardwood for table top - £18
5 lengths timber for table frame and legs £10.25
Proplex/correx two sheets £7
C&c grids £24.99
Grand total - £60.24
 
It looks amazing - love the hammock.
And I did the same when I ordered the lino to line the rabbits hutch - I totally miscalculated and it was a few cms too short :mal:

I should have learnt my lesson by now I am terrible at measuring things. A couple of years back I ordered a carpet for the living room and didn't find out until it was being laid it was too short. Luckily I had a really good carpet fitter and he was able to make a border around the edges that looked great.

Update from Suzy, Alisa has fear aggression she couldn't cope with the adult sows so Suzy had to remove them all 🙁 There are 3 babies left in with them now and she said its calm at the moment will just have to see if Alisa can cope with them. Feeling really bad at the moment, I thought getting more friends for them would be good but I really didn't think of the background Alisa came from and if it is something she Wanted 🙁
