The bonding - with pictures and a video!

Hey everyone

As you probably know, my piggy Woog passed away a few days ago. She left behind her cage-mate, Bellatrix. Poor Bella is the kind of piggy that needs companionship. So she's been bonded with the twins, Fermi and Luna. Here's the video of them being introduced over neutral ground. They're wasn't any fighting, or even any dominance displays.

Bella is the sister of the twins, so it's kind of neat having 3 sisters live together. I bought all three piggies about two years ago. The twins got to live together, while Bella was more taken with Woog.

Right now, they're all living in Woog and Bella's cage. It's only big enough for 2 piggies, so I connected a large storage tupperware to it for extra space

Aww, pleased to see little Bella hasn't been alone for very long. Glad they are getting along, hope you're doing ok, hugs x
 
thats great that she has made new friends as such a sad time - their all lovely x)
 
Bella back with her sisters is a great shot - they make a lovely trio! You must be so pleased that all went as smoothly as it did and that Bella is happy again!
 
oh no poor Woog! So sorry for your loss :(

Bella looks happy with the other two though, weight lifted I'm sure!

They're getting along very well, even though there is a little tension between Luna and Bella. But Fermi is like a buffer pig, she likes both of them (well, she likes everyone for that matter! :) ) But between Bella and Luna, there have only been occasional nips at each other. But we can't expect sisters to get along all the time! :))
 
I wondered what you'd do with Bella, glad to hear that the bonding is going well and they are getting along. Hope you are ok x x

Thank you :) The bonding is going even better than expected! I originally was going to bond Bella with Willow and Dobby (because Luna can be a bully), but after introducing them, Bella was being a bully and nipping at Willow. If Willow had hair, it would have been fine, but since she's a skinny pig even a little nipping draws blood.

Awww what wonderful news and photos! I'm so pleased the bonding went well for you and the piggles :)
