As you may know, from my thread on Pregnancy and Labour section, I took in 4 Guinea Pigs, that were unwanted by their previous owner... I was only told after I took them, that they had been living with the boys the woman was keeping.rolleyes... so I am assuming they are pregnant and from the look of two of them, they have had other babies too!grrrr They are all so skinny and need lots of love and kindness now...
Here they are...
Mango, not so big bellied...

Kiwi, her belly is quite prominent...

Then comes Peaches, she is so thin, her belly rounded and hair is thin, but already looks better in the past 48hrs she has been here...

Then comes number four, was told Apple was a girl, but when Apple started purring I had a look down there and now Apple is called Romeo and is living away from the girls...

Thanks for looking!:)

You are doing a fantastic job. Hope all goes well for those poor little piggies, they must be so glad they have found you.

aww poor girls (and Romeo) - glad they have found a home with you. The little one looks so thin - hope they continue to make healthy progress. well done.

Thanks, I just hope we can get Peaches through the pregnancy, I have had so many guineas over the years and not one has been in the state of skinniness that this poor girl is in. They are up the vets in the next few days, want them to calm down a bit first, just want pregnancies confirmed and see if I can do anymore for them really... I do well up when I am with them, poor babies...:(

Awww the poor little 'uns your doing a fab job hope they contine to go from strength to strength :)

Aww poor little things, they do look sorry for themselves :( I hope everything goes well with them. You're doing a grand job :)

They are beautiful. I'm sure they will thrive in your care..

Poor Peaches :( I'm sure they'll do great now being properly looked after.
Lovely looking piggies, I especially have a soft spot for Mangox)!

O.M.G. Peaches looks so awful it made me cry! I'm so glad she's with someone who will treat her decently and hopefully she'll go on to be a fab piggie.

Poor, poor girls!

I hope that they will make it!

I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed for poor Peaches; I am truly shocked that somebody has allowed her to get to that state! She can't have been far from dying, as thin as she is. I really, really hope that all goes well for her. At least, she is in a good place now and is getting the best of care. You may think of feeding her a bit extra as she must be completely depleted.

I'm really glad those piggies are with you. Glad you'll take care of them as well, you have the experience needed to give them the best chance of survival. Hugs from my girls to yours, but only blown kisses to Romeo!

Thanks for the kind comments, you can see why I am so concerned over them, especially Peaches... I am feeding them excel, a bowl in the cage all day, fresh hay, veg, just given them dried raspberry leaf and they are going to have alfalfa tonight as well. Peaches has improved in the past 3 days we have had her.... hair is sprouting from her belly bulge now and the hips are less prominent. Yes I think if she had not come here, she would have died:0
I just hope we have got her in time....:(

awww just caught up with this, what a sight poor little peaches is, good luck, you are doing a brill job, really hope she makes it.

I have a soft spot for Mango too x)

Keep us informed :)

Please send some more pictures as she gets better. I keep thinking of the poor, poor Peaches and how she is doing. If only she was not preggers on top of all this....the babies are going to take all the nutrients she needs....8...

Thanks again, they have just moved into a bigger cage and seem very happy in it, they have really improved, fur growing, sparkle in their eyes, Kiwi will take food from me as well now!:(|) Peaches had a cuddle and I can see soft fur sprouting and weight is going on, not just her belly either, I know she is not out of the woods yet, but in 4/5 days she has really come on!
