So today was the day. Finally was able to move the girls in for winter, sorted out the ramp to join the two cages and the girls are now taking up residence (and most of ) my room. As expected there was a little squabbling, lots of investigating and sniffing.

First moved in...

Up to now, only Ruby and Tia have figured out how to use the ramp. Hopefully with time and the use of some tempting veggies Esme and Rosie will learn to use it too. x

Aww, all snuggly and warm! You don't need to worry now and that's a lovely size for them too! Sure they'll work out the ramp in no time!

I'm hoping they do. Ruby and Tia have been using it to get away from each other. They are my pair that bicker lots, so if there are too many round the one hayrack, either one will dart across the ramp and eat their own hay, or pellets.

This is a fantastic idea! How did you join the 2 cages?

Just popped them together, lifted up the end and cable tied it to the roof . I then attached two playstiks bridges together as one was just not big enough.
I had to shift the door to the side but that left a gap so have attached the second door on top.
I just cabletied everywhere i could to give it some stability x

Awwww x) your girlies Little ginger sausages x) and Rosie drool

Love the way you've joined the cages together, very clever. They'll be nice and warm now this winter

Hope Ruby feeling better x

They now just need to to learn how to use the ramp to get into the other cahe and hopefully they will stop bickering!

Update...

Much calmer today, less bickering and three of the four have figured out the ramp. Now just for Rosie to work it out.

Esme figuring the ramp out.

It is amazing how much you miss when they are outside. Even saw Rosie doing a big sleepy yawn after she was woken up by Tia. :)

Looking good, i bet you wont put them out again next year :))

The difference in having them indoors is immense. xx

As much as I love them, they will be likely to be going outside again in spring. It really isn't practical for me as I have no access to my wardrobes (which is fine whilst at uni) but not when I am home for summer. Also hoping to redecorate in the summer so they will have to be back out for then. x

They look really happy in they new home, you have some lovely girls
and they have great names aswell:)

I can only take credit for Rosie's name and even then my brother named her nearly 7 years ago. The other 3 were named already at the rescue :)
