I just had to write this about my piggies and my son Liam.

Liam is in the process of being diagnosed with Ethlers-Danlos Syndrome. This means he is double-jointed and lacks elasticity in his muscles and the rest of his body, this causes many problems one of which is that he constantly aches.

He does not very often play out with the other children as they play football, cricket etc and he finds this too much and therefore does not have many close friends ............ but I cannot tell you the joy our guinea pigs (Disney, Paris and Ebony) are giving to him.

He beams when he holds them and chats away just like they are his little friends. This in turn makes me so happy inside ....... to see him doing something that he can enjoy ...... :))

So sorry if I am sounding somewhat emotional tonight but seeing him today with them made me all warm inside and I wanted to share it :)

Most of you may have seen this picture ........... but I love it

The picture is gorgeous and must be so precious to you!

You can be sure that your piggies know how much they are loved in turn...

Liam'll have more ways of making friends later on when physical ability is not such a big factor anymore and other pastimes open up. Perhaps you might like to introduce him to the forum?

Thanks for sharing it. Time and again we hear such sad tales of piggies no longer wanted by the children and going into rescue, it's heart warming to hear what little piggies are doing for you and your family.

Long may he continue to enjoy them :)
 
Wonderful photo. I am so pleased the piggies are helping Liam so much and bringing so much joy into both your lives. For such 'small' creatures, they can be pretty powerful!
 
I have the same condition and can definately understand Liam, he reminds me of me! He has such a lovely closeness with your furry family members. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
 
that is so sweet and you have every right to be emotional,what a lovely thing it is that an animal as small as a guinea pig can bring liam such joy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What a beautiful photo. For small creatures, guinea pigs have an enormous capacity to spread love and happiness. I find it difficult not to smile each time I see my piggies.

I haven't printed it yet but defo will be, keep looking out for a special frame :))
 
What a wonderful story it made me well up a bit. It's so sweet to hear of him getting so much joy from animals. That's how it's supposed to be.
Lovely photo too.
