Junior Guinea Pig
Last night I seen an advert on a free ad site with 3 guinea pigs "free to a good home". I emailed and was suprised this morning to have a reply and the person lived just across the border.
Two females and a male, I only had room for one more beyond my two girls, so was interested in the male, not wanting to split up the girls who lived together seperate from the boar. But could I leave the girls there?
Thankfully I found a home for the girls as well. After quarentine they will be moving in with two other girls and a neutered male. xx>>>
The Girls:
(Photo of the second girl really doesn't do her justice!)
My Boy, now named Hugh McMoo:
They are good weights and seem pretty healthy, though our boy hasn't ate much, if anything this evening. Tomorrow I'm going to get him plenty of grass which, according to his previous owner, he loves.
All about two years old. One female has previously had a litter, the other one, two or three. Our boy has sired a few litters. The previous owner liked to "let them have families". No questions asked about where they were going. Just, when I was putting them into our car, if I was planning on breeding off them. I politely answered no, they are going to be pets.
They are skittish, not used to being handled much, but nothing time, love and veggies wouldn't cure.
