Yesterday my Neutered boar Ted was seemingly limping during carpet time. He hasn't been dropped or had any falls, but yesterday he seemed to be skipping round the floor favouring his left back leg rather than his right, so I ended his playtime early and popped him back in his cage. By the evening I asked the OH to watch him and he agreed also that Ted was apparently limping. This morning he was slow moving round his cage so the OH took Ted to the vets for me as I was at a meeting. Apparently the vet found no evidence of breaks or pain on moving his leg or foot, and when she put him down the little darling trotted across fleece on the floor quite happily and using both back legs. She has given him a 3 day course of metacam to see if it makes any difference. I'm beginning to think I'm going mad, but he definitely looked like he had a limp and now it seems to have vanished. Anyone else had this?

Could have just been a slight strain... and a very observant mummy! ;)

I agree with Wiebke. Piggies can sprain or pull their muscles, just like us humans. Well done for spotting it!
