I know we all love, love, love our piggies, but what are the things that you would rather not have to do, but do because you love the wee mites?
Today I was pulling hay out of willies again...I always get a bit queasy about that as in my head I'm convinced it's going to be a worm.
Also I was tidying their cage, and poop scooping and accidently touched this white stuff (I hadn't my glasses on) which I thought was a piece of food, it was boar glue! It's silly but every time I think about me touching it, I just think ewwwwwwwwwwwwww lol
I'm getting girls next time :))

Lol, boars rolleyes

I've pulled plenty of hay out of boar willies (and a thorn on one occasion:{!) and it is not a fun experience for either of us! :))

I really hate doing it as well.
The smell of boar glue makes me want to be sick!

But I love my little boys :) x

I havent experienced this yet:o

but i dislike willy check lemmy isnt too fond I'm pretty sure attom gets a kick out of it thoughrolleyes

Oh yes I had to pull fur and hay out of henry's bits tonight....not one of the nicest things I have to do with the piggies, but I love them regardlessx)

Yep cleaning willies is not the nicest of jobs rolleyes Cleaning impacted boars is not much fun either........:x

I also dont like having to wash out food bowls that baby piggies have been using as a loo.......

Teresa xx

Ohhh i hate washing out bowls that the boys have sat in and used as both a loo and somewhere to store their boar glue, it stinks to high heaven :)>>> uuuggh!

Can't say as there is anything i dislike doing! With 6 boars i can honestly say i've never experienced boar glue or had to pull anything out of my boars parts!

My fav thing to do though is cleaning them out - their little faces when i pop them back into a nice clean hutch and the obsessive pop corning that takes place hehe!

I guess if i had to choose something todislike it would have to be cleaning water bottles - although even that i dont mind doing!

Gawd my little furries have me well trained don't they {:|

I have boars and have never had to do those things . . . yet!

It is easier just to have girls isn't it :)) but boars have lovely personalities. :)

I don't mind cleaning hutches or anything, the only thing I hate is having to go outside in bad weather and look after them all.

Today's job consisted of trimming the long tummy fur so Phils dinkie can retreat again, plus had to smear on a little ky jelly as it had dried a little where the hair had got stuck! Ouch @) at least now he can put his bits back lol

The only thing that bothers us, is claw cutting. I'm not sure who finds it more stressfull, me or my piggies!

I hate claw cutting too. Its so stressful and everytime I am convinced I've chopped a whole foot off!
They hate it as well and go in a strop for the rest of the night and won't come out to play.

Can't say I enjoy the whole cleaning their willies too much either. That and cleaning their bums. Makes me feel a bit queasy.

At first I hated cutting their nails but now I don't mind it so much. I find it much easier to wrap them in a towel. It keeps them calmer and stops them from squiggling, so I'm not worrying about cutting into the quick so much. The only one I find hard to do is Fry because some of his nails are black.

I HATE trimming nails. I get so stressed that I am going to hurt them and they know it, I just loath it. I have been known to take all six of them to the vet nurse to be done, cost a fortune! :{

Fortunately my husband is great and he does them, with me wimpering in the background xx>>>

Other than that....nothing else bothers me and I appear to have a very clean boar as not experienced the issues mentioned yet......

I remember first getting my two girls and taking them to the vets to get their nails trimmed, £14 for the back legs of both of them, and from then I made myself do it, as much as it makes me so nervous! They've both got black nails, which is handy... :(

When William and Keith were a lot younger, they used to leave their boar juices EVERYWHERE.

They'd be running around the living room and as far as the eye could see it was all over the floor - they'd be looking as innocent as always and laughing at me as I cleaned it up.

God bless wooden floors!

I love cleaning mine out, it just makes them so happy and they love exploring when it's all change! Have to say though I did have a little giggle when I found the glue, they've obviously been enjoying themselves rolleyes:))

Oh no that sounds sore for the wee man! Their anatomy really is fascinating considering how poorly placed and protected it is, but I imagine that's because they were bred as domestic animals, luckily they have Hoomans!

@) Crazy piggies :))

So far I haven't experienced a bad grease gland yet, I give their wee rumps a clean regularly but always brace myself in case it's all sticky and gungy...

The bit I dislike most at the moment, is catching the little (especially jeff! The other three just sit there and wait) when they've been free ranging in the house, because I have a spine injury and they end up in the most awkward of places!

like many of you, ive had to pick unpleasant things out of my boys' manly part (fun, fun). but i must say i dread cutting their nails more; they're so squirmy I'm always terrified ill clip a whole toe off!

It is quite traumatic isn't it! Thumper squeals his head off with each and every nail mallethead it's awfully hard work lol xox

I really hate nail clipping.

It really distresses the boyz and me!
