We shall see how it goes. I have been hesitant to post as things didn't work out with the last puppy, though she was a total nutter and a working dog, even for a puppy she was a bit mad.

This time we have been given the opportunity to see how a different breed we're also familiar with, works out. This little chap is Louis, he's a Shih Tzu. He and Oscar are slowly getting to know each other.

He is a family pet although I can see him somehow spending a lot of time in my room amongst the piggies. He's still (big) piggie size!

What a cutie pie xoxo I used to have a shih tzu just like that called Toto! He had a big personality for a little dog - I think they are also called Tibetan lion dogs? or something.
 
Very cute i always think shih tzu pups look like little owls lol. That last pic is lovely though, that little head tilt. It's the puppy pose of cuteness.

He is so cute that I think he must be part guinea pig (maybe on his paternal grandfather's side). :))
 
What a cutie! My dog used to love hiding under the couch when he was a puppy. We had a few pretty hillarious incidents when he was right in the middle of "I still fit" and "Darn, I'm stuck!"
 
Thank you for the lovely comments, so far things are totally different to how they were with Willow. It also makes a difference that Louis has an older dog to look up to, follow and learn from. We're used to having two dogs, big dog little dog, although it hasn't been that way since losing our last little Shih Tzu in 2007. The family feels so much more complete with two dogs.

They are so cute together. I really miss having dogs around.

In the last pic your new puppy could be mistaken for a piggy. Does he want to go in and play? :)
