I put my two little pigs together for the first time today! They are having so much fun! They were both a little shocked at first to realize someone else was eating THEIR hay and investigating THEIR pigloos but they got over it very quickly and are now running around together :) I thought it would be months before Wiley could stand be out of her pigloo/hidey corner without freaking out at the sight of me, but she is so much more brave with her sister around! She has even used the ramp in the cage!
I will probably still keep them seperate for a couple days when I am not home just in case but so far so good! I have a cage that can be split in half with a ramp that comes down on each half so you can open it up for them, so its pretty easy to keep them seperate but still able to interact when I'm not around :)
Couldnt be more happy, just had to share :)

YAY! Thats great! i did the same with my 2 new boys and my 2 1/2yr boy..they did great only thing is they are so hyper! they are only 6weeks old..older boy was like ahhhhhhhgrrrr:{@)..LOL

they are sooo cute!

Great news, so pleased they are happy together. Congratulations!

So glad your piggies are happy together. If I were you I wouldn't keep splitting them up though. It can be disruptive to their bonding. The general rule with sows is that once they are happy they will stay happy. When I have newly bonded pigs I keep them within ear shot for the first 24 hours and by then any dominance issues are usually fairly well sorted. I know how hard it can be not to interfere. There is often lots of noise as they get used to each other but unless they start really fighting and taking chunks out of each other leave them together.

thanks for your advice! they have been together pretty much all day today and most of yesterday except in the morning when i feed them pellets bc Ms Piggy (Whinny) has been having some issues with sharing, even with 2 dishes! they are doing really good otherwise, every now and then one seems cranky with the other bc Whin can be a little pushy and Wiley is still fairly meek but they are doing well.
I promise to have some pics up soon by my photobucket is having issues :(
