its mad! i hate the thought of the poor piggies in there. how an earth do they think pigs can use those ramps and go on the platforms ect. They will stay at the bottom and have such a small living area! grrrr:...

exactly its designed for RATS not guinea's they are COMPLETELY diffrent animals, pigs cant climb!

Rabbits and Guinea = Horizontal cages

Rats = Vertical cages

Silly people!

why don't you email them and tell them that it's not designed for guinea pigs? maybe they're not very experienced with small animals and have just made a bad presumption.

I know, it's a bit pointless (and extremely stupid, and very very extremely cruel) to buy a cage that's like £90 at the start and use it for Guinea Pigs, it's such a waste of space anyway?:{

Just to let you know, I emailed the seller asking them to change their listing as the cage is not suitable for guinea pigs and rabbits so is unfair to advertise it as such x

This is the sellers response to my email mallethead

I kept guinea pigs in it for ages and they were
fine. The ramps are quite shallow, so climbing is
not an issue! In fact the guinea pigs used to
love the tunnels.. Pet Shop was quite happy!
Thanx for your interest!

Also, how you can say this cage is
too small for guinea pigs is beyond me!

Obviously not budging on it but I replied saying 'I am not arguing with you about this, I just think it is unfair advertising as this is a rat cage. Rats climb, guinea pigs dont! Guinea pigs need more space than this cage allows'. I also added a link to the guineapigcages website.

This is the problem with messaging people, they are always in the right! Waste of time if you ask me, all people care about is money. :(

Also if the guinea pigs managed to get to the top shelf (ha. ha. ha) then they can't get back down.malletheadmallethead

i am hoping some people will research or take the initiative to know that this cage is not suitable for rabbits/guinea pigs. anyone who thinks differently must really have no brain whatsoever.

The latest response from the seller rolleyes I give up!

Fine! If you go thru eBay regularly, you will see
much smaller ones advertised for rabbits, guinea
pigs etc! Hope you've got plenty of time on your
hands to mail them all with your opinions...
I agree with you about rabbits, i would only use
it as a temporary holding cage for that
application, but otherwise, no problem....
Cheers
