So today I was giving the Guinea pigs some blueberries as a treat. Unfortunately I held my finger a bit too close to the edge of the blueberry and this is what her little sharp teeth did to me... haha I know it’s just a tiny cut but it hurts! I didn’t realise their teeth could be so sharp53536217-BD2F-46DD-AC20-6879F2C1CB2C.webp

Ouch! I’ve also had that done to me before. I’d hate to be given a proper bite!

Proper hurts! I’ve only had one really angry bite and it didn’t affect any nerves fortunately - it was my hand so could have got that far.
My Rey is very good at the super-hard tweek-bite that doesn’t draw blood but feels like your finger is in a vice! I can’t even explain to her that I can’t put her down if she is attached to me!

They are super sharp little blades! Timmy chomped hard on my finger once because he missed his nugget and it was deep! Lovely little v shape, bled like stink!

Blitzen used to be a devil for doing it. It's because they can't actually see your fingers, so your fingers smell like blueberries, and thus your fingers are blueberries! I always had to be real careful feeding B something like blueberries because they were small enough that he couldn't tell the difference...and tbh he also didn't care haha. Comet would always gently feel with his teeth before grabbing something, to make sure he didn't bite the wrong thing. I don't know how those two grew up together learning wildly different lessons lol.

I've always had the issue when I would feeding grass to my boar, though I've occasion hand fed sweet corn and they've never missed, just absorb the food off my fingers 😂
