Beware fellow piggies, our hooman just offered us a red thing to eat, we have never had one like this before.

She said it was a very special treat, which got us all excited- a once a year treat apparently. Which made us even more excited to see what it was.
Oh no- poison ☠️, beware run away. It did not smell good. (We sniffed it a lot). This red thing is apparently called a strawberry it was very scary.

They are not sure about this strange looking red thing are they 😆 My girls all love strawberries but Hector is frightened too. He won’t even eat a strawberry husk, he runs away if you offer him one

Pepper & Pringle will be very happy to take this very scary treat off your paws Hector & Hamish!

Thanks for offering to have our scary red thing everyone not sure we can split the tiny bit we were offered.
Perhaps somepig would be willing to trade for some honeydew melon…. now thats are absolute favourite, we haven't had any since Christmas.

Ewwww…..thanks for the offer- Clover & Stella, but bananas are poison too….. even Mummy slave doesn’t like them!
Good to know that somepig agrees with us!

WHEEKS,

No melon, but willing to trade a banana slice – we hate those!

Pringle says what’s wrong with you all the snapping noise of a banana coming off the bunch is enough to get him very excited!

We don't like strawberry either - mummy slave offered us one last summer when we were still babies and we didn't know what it was. It smelled suspicious and it looked very peculiar, and that red colour must mean it's highly dangerous, surely?
Imagine our surprise when she tried again this week, a whole year later, to persuade us to eat a strawberry. Thanks but no thanks, we still don't want it. Then she put another small red thing in our hutch, this one was smaller and more bobbly than the strawberry. Mummy slave said it was a raspberry. We didn't like the look or smell of that either! She ate both the strawberry and raspberry, once we had finished chattering at them to see if they would go away (they didn't), and she said they were yummy. Humans are strange, aren't they?
Apparently there are strawberries and raspberries growing in the garden here so if anypig wants them, we will send them to you.
Wheeks,
Kevin and Perry

You are both not alone Hector and Hamish! We don't like it either! 🤮 The other red thing though (tomatoes and apples), we love it! 🤤😋

I've never had any piggies, even my rainbow piggies, that liked strawberries, and even bananas! They all would run away every time I offered it to them. 🤦‍♀️🙄

Aw strawberries and babycorn are I think going to be the only thing Hatty pig and her future husband Ollie disagree about... Hatty doesnt think babycorn is even a proper food, and she ran away from a strawberry top in disgust but then being a very obliging girl hoping to marry Ollie the summer fruit monster she did very carefully eat all the leafy bits very precisely leaving the actual strawberry but untouched.
Lavender also thinks strawberries are disgusting and evil which is strange because she's a complete fatty who hoovers up anything else even questionably edible just in case it might have calories in!

Comet and Blitzen just...ignored strawberries. Oh there's a thing there? You sure? We don't see a thing. We don't smell a thing. We know you have food. Don't pretend to give us food that doesn't exist. Give us the actual food.

Bann and Camowen...I don't know if I've tried them with strawberries. They're not fussed on raspberries (or blueberries, or banana). Grapes, apples, tomatoes. THOSE are the things that I risk my fingers with.

Thank you everyone, we don’t think we will ever be offered a strawberry again, mummy slave says that’s the most scared we have been of any food & Hamish will try almost anything!

However if we do get offered strawberries we will do our best to share it between you all.
Priscilla we are very sorry to hear that Micha eats your strawberries, hope you are faster next time.
Happy munching!
Wheeks Hector
