Those Special Moments

Thanks to @Alisa3114 for reminding us how exciting it is when our piggies give us those special moments.
I know others contributed to her thread but rather than hijack that one here’s a place to share those special, funny and moving moments.

When Phoebe first came to me she was so shy and skittish. The first day she stood begging for her morning leaf was a real sign that she’s so much more confident and happy.
I love seeing her standing on her hind legs to get the first leaf (lettuce)

I have recently been picking up each guinea pig in turn every day. They get pea flakes as a reward. Today my shyest guines pig, Cherry Blossom didnt run away from my hand when I offered her one! Cherry is the fluffy one, her sister Rosie is smooth coated (and gorgeous).

Both my boys were terrified when we first got them, they’ve come so far and reached so many milestones, the first time they took food out my hand, the first time they can’t out of their hide, the first time they let me stroke them, the first time they let my pick them up, their first popcorns there are so many, I could go on

I love that we are making progress everyday and I treasure even the small little things like today they were wheeking when I came into the room saying who's ready for veggies

When they popcorn or have a mini run around at the mention of hay or when chanel doesn’t run away when I go to stroke her or pick her up.

I love the way Christian's little pink tongue comes out after he has had his Metacam and he's licking his lips to get the last of his medicine. It's like he's saying "Yum, Yum, Yum" and then he grabs hold of the syringe again hoping for some more if I don't take it away quickly enough. Even the OH thinks it's cute

I love the way Jezzy floof has learned to enjoy her foot massages, to start with she used to fight and not understand why she was being held upside down but now she trances out all happy and relaxed and chuckles away while I clean and moisturise her crusty old feet, its lovely to see how she trusts me to make her feet feel nice
