As Hoggle and Ludo have managed to find stunning ladies, and are looking nice and clean from their bath the other day, Harvey and Blake are growing very envious! {:|

They have asked me to make them look a bit more tidy - currently Blake likes to sport the "shavings stuck in my hair" look so I'm going to re-vamp the cage with a nice red fleece :(|)

Just wondered, do people use hairdryers to get their pigs to dry? I'm not sure how Harv and Blake would cope, but the last time they had a bath it took a lot of towel changes to get them dry - they seem to be like little sponges!

Any advice please so my boys can perhaps find lovely ladies of their own?x)
Thanks!

Hehe, fleece is definately the way to go if you want it tidy(ish!).

I never blow dried mine, I just gave them a little rub in a towel then they played in front of the radiator until they were dry. They look so much better after their bath, I can't believe the difference!

Hope your two find love after their makeover! :))

You can carefully dry piggies with a blow drier on the lowest setting, if you wish to; some people, especially with longhaired piggies do it.

i use a hair dryer make sure you put your hand inbetween the hot air ans the piggy that way you can tell if it is getting too hot for them!

Ok thanks everyone, I can't remember if my hairdryer has a heat setting, I'll have to look! Might have a go, otherwise tonight there will be a couple of damp pigs getting lots of cuddles wrapped up in towels (not that it's a bad thing!)

Well snap kind of. I'm not bathing the boys but i have just washed and dried their fleece and now they have a lovely clean cage, until they go in of course! :)

How often do you bath your piggies remember you shouldnt bath them to often as they have sensitive skin and need natural oils that they produce :)

roughly every 3 months, they don't exactly enjoy it much but get quite excited when it comes to drying off! :)

So the boys have had their bath Blake HATED it as per usual and had to be held still whereas Harvey just stood there and put up with it! :) Once they'd dried off a bit after some veg, they got introduced to their first fleece filled cage and it's gone down very well :))

Here are a few photos ...

Aw! Cute photos x) I reakon Blake thought the bath was worth it with the offer of broccoli! ;)

We should have a 'soggy pig' thread specially for piggies in the bath! xoxo

Definately - not sure the pigs would appreciate it! I'm not sure how I managed it - my computer is a bit dodgy - but I posted the 2nd group of photos twice! Sorry everyone! :S

liked seeing them twice as got a really good look at them both x>>
i'm changing to fleece to hopefully next weekend got my fleece been washing like crazy the last couple of days getting my towels later as in my cupboard i only had the one's i use (got argos vouchers from surveys i do on line so towels costing me nothing!) :p

Haha thank you. I agree Harvey is a bit of a Stud! lol Blake bless him looks nice but dim in most photos :)

The fleece has gone down really well, and when I do my daily "poo pick" Blake "makes very good friends" with the brush -Nutter! :x But really the boys love the fleece, and are often snuggled down on it.
