i just saw bunch guniea pig videos on instagram piggys being dressed in outfits n put glasses on them etc U_U makes me sad, there not dolls there living beings like rest of us. Sorry be a karen but come on..poor piggys.. I feel so bad people do this just out fame think get famous piggy dressed or doing"" on camera sorry for swearing just makes me mad I would never do that to my piggys show a little respect isn't hard how would u like it if u was sceard, dressed up , with no consent I'm sorry I cant

Yes this is a massive issue on instagram as well and it makes me upset. Many of the guinea pig accounts I see on there share videos of guinea pigs dressed up, in the same enclosure as capybaras, or just doing some other weird activity where the guinea pig is clearly frozen in fear/stress. Usually these accounts aren't one specific owner, but someone taking videos/pictures from multiple unknown sources, if you know what I mean. Many of these account have thousands of followers and they are really spreading so much harmful info. Reminds me of that picture that was circulating on Facebook of a woman holding a massive cuy. You could tell that it was from a a guinea pig farm and was probably raised to be eaten. It made me sad because so many people were sharing it talking about how cute it is with no knowledge of its terrible background/fate.
