When I was a young thing and had guinea pigs, and my aunt also had guinea pigs, we used to do a pottery class together. Somewhere she had got the idea of making a bowl for a guinea pig which is tilted on one side, so that they have a very low lip at the front for getting at the food, and a high back to stop the food spilling. They were basically a little deep round bowl that was tipped right over by about 60 degrees, so that they were almost lying on their sides. If you Google "salt pig", they were a bit like those, but much lower so that the lip at the front was almost nonexistent.

I really wish I still had them, every time I see my pigs hunched over at their pellets. They were so much more ergonomic. Has anyone ever seen something like this? Unfortunately I can't make my own, as that ceramics class doesn't exist any more. I know you get tilted bowls for cats, but guinea pigs really do better with a much more extreme tilt, so that they can just stick their heads right in.

We have a Beco bowl, intended for cats, that has low sides, for anything that needs to be in a bowl.
We stopped feeing pellets in a bowl, and scatter feed. Our boys love hunting out pellets.
