Hi everyone, looking for an alternative hay to feed piggies. Have being using B & M Timothy Hay for last 2 years, have been unable to get hold of any for last 4 weeks. Local store has none and say "none due in till end of October" anyone recommend anything similar, maybe online store/supply. Thanks

Oh dear - this is the hay I use - I tend to buy quite a lot at a time as it's a bit out of the way, so I'm covered at the moment, but thanks for the heads up.

My pigs used to have TH Hay and i got some P@H cheapo hay for bedding. Guess what they ate the cheap stuff . . no change in the toilet department so I carry on. I now treat my pigs to Burgess long hay which is expensive but them piggies eyes :flag::blink: make me . . . buy it.

Try the range. Its really nice green timothy hay, its very similar to the b n m one but its £3 a bag. They always have it in stock

I cant remember the brand but it has a pic if a cartoon farmer with a straw hat on

If you have an equine horse supplier near by it's worth contacting them about hay. I get 1/2 a bale for 4.50 and it lasts for around a month with 7 mouths well worth it!

:( I suppose it's not reliable. I have found that in some shops. I guess I was just lucky that day. I do hate bad hay so am known to sniff bags even if they look good :))

I had this same problem with B&M dandelion one, ended up buying burgees one which was £7 a bag 😰 Eventually bought a bulk bag online from Timothyhay.co.uk paid £20 which seemed like a lot but the equivalent amount in burgees would've been around £60... this large bag has lasted me ages and barely made a dent in the bag 😅😅

i higjly reccomend the alfalfa king timothy hay . Its £9 but its so tightly packed it last ages for 2 pigs. Its in pets@home and is always green. Its stiff hay tho so be careful with eye pokes.

Dont worry about the brand name alfalfa king they do a timothy hay. Just check it first

I won't be needing any for a while, but thank you I'll definitely bare this in mind if I can't get another bulk buy when mine runs out as I'm pretty sure the company I got mine from only does annual harvest, and I doubt this hay will last a whole year, so thank you 😅

Ours adore the pure pastures hay from the range!
We’ve been struggling to get any at work, I think it’s because of all that dry weather we had a couple of months ago.
