What exactly is it? I bought some as a treat but they wont touch it and prefer the meadow hay and willow ball!

Our vet gave us a sample when we took Bob for his Op and my pigs dont like it at all, not sure what it contains though

My guineas love Timothy Hay! I order them a huge box of it and they wont touch any other hay.

I alwauys buy them oxbow timothy hay. I think there are other types you can buy but this seems to be the best:

I started buying them this because I found the normal hay didn't look very nice and didn't seem to last well. Also used to always find prickly bits in there that had to be pulled out.

Timothy is just one type of grass hay, but there are plenty of others to try. My pigs love Oxbow Timothy, but the Oxbow Orchard Grass goes down just as well.

Timothy can aggravate hayfever more than other hays, hence why I avoid it (can't be doing with itchy eyes and blocked nose when there's as good an alternative available!).

Meadow, Oat, Brome and Rye are a few other types of grass hays. It's the grass hay that is the best to be fed daily - not legume hays - so any kind of grass hay is just fine. Meadow is by far the most widespread and available hay in UK.
