I live in Scampton village, famous for the Dambust
You were only with us for such a short time but you made us all so very happy after losing Snoopy we felt ready to give you a home. Teddy adored you and was so gentle with you. I never imagined your time with us would be so precious, you were a sweet, gentle, soft, loving bunny who melted my heart so much. We are so heartbroken to have lost you precious little angel bunny. I spent most of last night crying my heart out asking myself why? why did you have to be poorly, it's just so tragic and unfair to be taken away and to not have more time to play with Teddy.
We love you and will never, ever forget you sweet Lucy. 8... 8... 8... 8... I pray that you have gone to play with Snoopy. Binky free Lucy xxxxxxx

I too am sitting in floods of tears. I cant believe she's gone.

She was so sweet and gentle. Perhaps we can both draw a little comfort that she spent her last few days in bunny paradise. The home you gave little Lucy was the most fantastic I've ever come across. Whilst everyone involved in rescue does their very best to find lovely homes for our residents yours is what our dreams are made of.

I'm so very sorry you're having to go through this pain and heartache again. I know that we will both never forget little Lucy.

Run free Lucy x

I am so sorry for you that you lost beautiful Lucy after only so short a time, and that she couldn't enjoy her life here on earth any longer - especially now that she had found rabbit paradise! At least she WAS given that taste of the good life, and could leave knowing what being a loved pet was...

I'm so sorry Tatty. How awful for you to go through this again so soon after getting her. Thinking of you and little Lucy. x

I'm so sorry for your loss. She will have had the most cherished days of her life in the short time she was with you. Rest well, beautiful Lucy. xx

I let my vet investigate what had happenend to Lucy :(
Her findings were her uterus was very dilated and swollen and pus and infection was apparent and that she had haemmoraghed and that the toxins had resulted in her death. The vet said that she would have had a poor prognosis and that the problem would have been lying low for some time 8... I don't know if I feel much better to know this 8...
She's home now with us and we will lay her to rest with Snoopy tomorrow 8...

I'm so so sorry - I posted on the other thread but wanted to just say how sorry I am that she left you so quickly. Sounds like she had problems inside that no-one could have known about, bless her. She had a short but very happy time with you.

Sending hugs

Sophie

I am so so sorry to hear this, I only said to Teresa the other day what a lovely home Lucy had found. Such a sad thing when these illnesses that can not be spotted take them away so quickly.

Huge hugs to everyone who knew Lucy I know she touched all your hearts.

So sorry to hear about Little Lucy. I followed the postings and was so glad to hear she had found a fantastic home.

Tiny little Lucy was layed to rest in one of my little Sleepy piggy blankets cuddling a tiny little teddy my daughter gave her. We put her next to Snoopy under the old oak tree at my dad's house were the wild rabbits play :)
Today has been one of the hardest days of my life saying goodbye to Lucy :( I found some beautiful pictures and video clips my daughter took on her camera which along with what is on my camera we will treasure forever :)

RIP lovely girl, you are sadly missed x

Lucy was very beautiful and I'm so sorry for your loss. Her resting place sounds lovely and I'm sure she will be frolicking at Rainbow Bridge with all the other bunnies. Run free little Lucy.

Thank you for all your kind words and thank you especially to those of you who knew Lucy :)
I miss her so much. Yesterday was so hard :( I had to take my daughter to a gymnastics competition at Spalding which is down the A17 - the road that takes you to Kings Lynn and I just wanted to cry 8... the Sunday previous we were travelling to get Lucy on the very same road 8... The house seems empty and I keep looking over at all her favourite places she liked :( I know the pain will ease one day 8...
