so after a week of fighting weight loss, and continued sore teeth, we said said goodbye to patch. she had lost 500g in 2 weeks. we took her in today and after investigation it was found her back teeth had cracked which had caused her front teeth issues. after discussing options with the vet, it was decided that letting her sleep was the kindest thing to do. she was a funny little soul and will be very missed :(

So sorry for you, theres nothing like having to let your pet go, but we sometimes have to, we cant let them suffer. She will wait for you over the bridge and one day you will be together again.
Also Patch is always with you in your heart and your memory, hugs to you.

So sorry to hear this. It's an awful decision to have to make but really can be the kindest thing to do.
RIP Patch

We are very sorry to hear this and are thinking of you and Patch. I wish it didn't hurt so much when one of them passes but i guess it hurts because we gave and received such a lot of love from these funny wonderful little animals.

So sorry for your loss and the heartbreak of a decision you had to make. Sleep tight Patch.

I am so sorry, you made a very brave decision for Patch and put her first. Massive hugs

RIP Patch

Thank you, again. The kind regards have been much appreciated. Been giving Pi lots of cuddles today. She appears well in her self and has been a lot more confident today which was a bit of a shock, as I expected a low piggy today. Have noted she has been more vocal about her still bloated tummy. So wondering if we are going to loose her too soon. Will have to wait and see, going to leave it a week before looking at a companion for her ( not that it will be easy to replace patch but that IMHO I don't think it good to have a lone piggy). Just worried if she is sicker then she let the 3 vets who have seen know, we will end up in a cycle. Also worried as we are moving that many rescues say they won't adopt out, but wounder if we explain why we our looking for a companion and the reasons they may bend the rules. We are buying so not a rental rules issue and that piggies are also a consideration on our list this may help. So many thoughts. Really missing patch kept expecting to see her welcome us when we went out to the hutch this morning. My boyfriend and dad buried patch in my parents garden as we didn't want her to be in a place we are leaving, and she loved their garden :-).

she loved to popcorn :) thats a lovely sentiment she would run around in circles and pop about all the time even in the last week. she was a happy sole.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's such a painful decision to have to make. ((HUGS)) to you.

I'm so sorry. It's a heartbreaking decision to make but it's the kindest thing. R.I.P. Patch x
