George had one of his back toe nails extracted during a surgery for an abscess. This happened in late October (around Halloween). The vet was unsure if the nail would regrow. I guess it's not a big deal if it doesn't, but how long would it take for regrowth if it were to grow back? It seems like we always have to trim nails so they must grow fast. If it does start, would there be a chance it could grow back wrong? I would hate to see him having more problems.

When Benny pulled his off, it was visibly growing within 2 weeks and we seem to remember it was fully grown within 6 weeks.

This was tore off though rather than removed during surgery, so it could be different but it did tear off completely, all the way back.

It never seemed to bother him though so I would guess they are fine without it!

Mousey was the opposite, she lost a nail in April & after 2 months we thought it was gone forever. It finally came back at the end of September & now you wouldn't know it had been missing at all.
