Just got a phone call from my OH. His nans dog Timmy has been to the vets as he was breathing heavy. He does this alot and everytime she takes him they give him new pills and it sorts him out. This time however his heart has got so big he has only days to live as its pushing against his ribs. My OH dad now has to break the bad to news to her (she doesnt go the vets as shes really old). Shes going to be distraught. She has the choice to either have him PTS or he will die in really bad pain in the next few days, I'm sure she will make the right choice. She can take him to the dog hospital to be put on oxygen but it will just be that which is keeping him alive so not much point.
Timmy is only around 5 years old. His a gorgeous dog! i cared alot for him when i lived there as the nan couldnt give him his meds or bath him so we had a good bond. I havent seen him much however since i moved out.
I'm absoluty gutted and feel sick and i cant even say goodbye as there in London and he will be going back tonight if she makes that decision.
