hi everyone.

I am due to move to the states and join my husband who is already there. I want to know if anyone has any personal stories of flying with their babies in the cargo hold. As we all know they’re not allowed in the cabin & I have contacted several airlines who confirmed this. I am terrified of taking him & I do have my mum who will keep him but I want to see if anyone has successfully managed to ship their babies on a translantic flight and if they incurred any issues? Leaving him is a last resort as he is my life & soul. I just need individuals to share their stories and if they can tell me who they used for transporting.

What time of the year will you be flying to the US? There are some times that it will be completely unrealistic to bring an animal in the hold as it will be either too hot or cold here.
 
Hi thanks for getting back to me! I’m going in March but I can ship him later. The shipping company I’ve been talking to say that they have control temperature cargo hold on the airline they use (waiting for a reply on which airline) & are placed straight into a vehicle but idk if I trust that. My final destination is South Dakota.
 
March can still be pretty cold so it is good that there is temperature control. It's good you are doing all of your research now and getting everything ready. I hope your trip goes well! Would you be able to update us as you prepare and after you arrive? That could help others with their future travel with piggies.
 
Absolutely and thank you! Yes my research is extensive but like I said he’s my life and soul and if anything happens I will not forgive myself! I am hoping for a smooth process and hopefully there’s someone on here who has done it previously and can give us all some insight ♥️
