maisynpoppy

i got one yesterday for my piggies and i knew straight away that poppy wouldnt understand it (she prefers jumping on top of paper bags) but i thought after a while maisy would. i filled it with cucumber their favourite and maisy doesnt have the hang of it yet. she notices the cucumber is inside it and tries to stick her nose through the gap but hasnt yet figured it out. has anybody else got one of these and how long did it take before your piggies realised how to use it? :-\

What do they look like?

I have one of these for my piggies:

Mine never worked it out so I gave it to the kitty..he's never worked it out either *shrug* :D

I had one but it didnt work out so gave it to a friends daughter for her dog :)

None of mine showed any interest in it lol, they prfer loo roll tubes or something else they're not supposed to play with!

yea thats what mine looks like but different colour, i just thought id get them something new but nope its not working out either :(

My friend has one in a differnet colour and her bunnies love pushing it around.
Thats how she feeds them she puts their daily pellets in their
However I would imagine bunnies are more intellegent than piggies

i knew poppy wouldnt understand it, but i thought maisy would, she realises theres cucumber in it just doesnt know how to get it out :-\

Mine are unimpressed with these, my friends rabbit had ours ::) A guinea could get ill before they got any food out of these LOL!

Mine don't like toys! They just prefer to guts themselves on food especially Mr T who gags on some foods as he is in such a rush to get it down him!

:D

so what shall i do with it lol? jane suggested putting hay in it so it pokes out. or i was thinking i got them one of those mix thingys with herbs and dried leaves or something 98) and that would fall out of the ball easier? they wouldnt have to do much :-\

stuffing it with hay should work, mine get their hay out of a hay ball so i would imagine its similar. or treats that fall out easier, give different things a go and see which work best!

I love those willow balls from Pampered Piggies - they're stuffed with good and healthy munchies and the piggies can eat the willow too (it's good exercise for their teeth) and if they don't mutilate the ball too much you can re-use it and stuff it full of their favourite bits and pieces. And the best bit - they're really cheap! O0

;D Piglet will try, :o Boris & Fizzi not bothered really, but the rabbits LOVE theirs mostly Domino.I put a few saltanas in because they are less likely to "stick inside". O0 But my 3 just love their food!
