Was just wanting people's opinion on this. Is it a good treat/enrichment or is it unhealthy or even harmful?

So far their only treat has been compressed hay blocks or loose hay with dried petals in stuck in a loo roll. They weren't a fan of hay in a paper bag 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm trying to stay healthy with the treats and enrichment for them.

@Merab's Slave any ideas am sure I saw you posting about forage recently?

Or any other members?

Hopefully someone will be along soon to advise

I had a similar thing for mine once, but because it contains dried dirt I only let them have it for short periods during floor time so I could keep an eye on them.
It got peed on and pretty manky quite quickly.

What about a carrot cottage - they make fabulous enrichment and most piggies seem to like them.

I'm waiting for carrot cottage to come back in stock at my local. I think they'll like one!

Also I wonder why it has dirt in it?! How odd. Might keep it for floor time. I'm always sceptical when something says its suitable for so many animals as if rabbits, degus and chinchillas eat and behave the same as a piggie.....

I get piggie parcels forage the boys love it! Also pea flakes. My boys get the best enrichment from just having loads of tunnels and cardboard boxes to hide in, chew and rearrange.

I think I'll have to get some pea flakes. As a treat/bribery to still be my friend after nail trimmings and health checks etc. 😂

I bought one of those forage nibble boxes for my piggies once and instantly regretted it. Under all those lovely dried flowers is a dead bit of turf in a cardboard box covered in hay like a carrot cottage or a haycube. Piggies were bored with it after the dried flowers had all been eaten and left it. A carrot cottage or a haycube or even a plain cardboard box is much better value both in monetary terms and piggie enjoyment and enrichment.

Ok so I just opened the paper bag of hay and they're all over it..... when I 1st put it in I'd lightly rolled it shut so they could chew into it, but apparently that's no good. Nova literally squealed and popcorned when I opened it up 🙄

I got a these For my pigs a couple of years ago. It lasted moments and quickly became a pee/poop spot, much as @Swissgreys said. I’d save your money and make your own enrichment. Paper bags with hay and small treats in, loo roll holders with the same - my lot love them! They have a carrot cottage in their pen but haven’t taken to demolishing it like other pigs - but they do munch on it.

So I gave them it. Put it on its side so they didnt just pee all over it. Luna hasn't touched it, Nova ate the flowers off gradually, she wasnt even that bothered. It's not been touched for days. 0/10 and I'm still confused why it's a big chunk of soil 🤷🏻‍♀️
