hi could you put his cage next to mum's so he can still hear and smell her?

I agree with above and you could try rubbing the bear on mum so that it smells of her so he will maybe feel better about snuggling up to it.

Thanks for all your help before we put Bruce in the other cage the teddy was in the in with mum and the other pups for a few days then we put Bruce and the teddy bear in together in the other cage.
We are going to put Bruce cage and Jess cage face to face today and see if that helps.
Many thanks again
Oriel

We had this problem earlier this week, we decided it was time to separate the 3 boars from their mum and sister as they are 3 weeks old and there's been an increase in rumbling coming from them. One of the boys cried on and off for a few hours and then calmed down. He was the same the next morning but by the time I came home from work he was ok, I gave the boys a pair of balled up socks (couldn't find any teddies) scented with mum to cuddle up to and they seem to be ok. They were also put in a hutch quite close to mum so they could still hear and see her.
