Unless i'm being entirely dim (it happens) has the VAT gone up at all recently since it did in January?
I signed a contract over a year ago in uni with 3 for a 15GB broadband dongle for £15pm which increased to £15.98 in January because of the VAT rise.
3 sent me letters about it and i even called them to check it would only be a quid.

NOW i'm being charged £20.08 per month and have had no prior notification as to why. The cheeky sods are even telling me that if i cancel the contract i have to pay the remaining months off (which is up until April next year), i new this term when i signed, but that would be £120 odd pound that i am just not paying!

They charge me £20 last month too but my letters are sent to my dads address and he sneakily paid it for me. I'm so annoyed, i hate this company but its the best one for mobile internet, ugggggggggh! Rant =[

The VAT hasn't gone up, have you gone over your internet allowance? We have mobile broadband with 3 and we haven't had this.

No, i've not gone over at all thats what's wound me up - last month i lost the bloomin dongle because i'd gone home to Liverpool, it turned up in my suitcase 3 weeks later and i'd only used 1GB, and its just refreshed this week and i've only used 2GB but i'm being charged £20 again. Its getting ridiculous.

I don't want to sound racist, but i just cannot understand the guys on the phone because the call centre is in India and they can't understand me either - I'm going in flipping circles.

I think you need to hang on in there and try and get answers, anything could be happening there!

They're telling its admin charges because i cancelled my direct debit! I had to cancel my direct debit because they kept taking the payment out of my account when i had no money in the account, but pay it a couple of days later in the bank in person instead. What cheek! £4.10 for admin charges? What a joke mallethead

Apparently because i'm a long serving customer, they can as a one off, re-credit me the one £4.10 admin charge, but next month i need to set up my direct debit again. Sigh, they could have just sent me a letter in the post! Nevermind lol :))

It sucks, but sadly its the way it is I'm afraid.

They should take the payment out on the same date every month which you would have set up for a date which suited you (i.e end of month when your wages are paid for example) when you took out the contract , they shouldn't randomly take it out whenever.

Yeah, i'm usually billed on the 1st of the month and pay on the 19th but this was just taken straight out, hence the cancel last month, then they tried it again but found the debit was gone. Aye this grown up bizzle is getting boring now!
