Hi
My lil old lady piggy has got a tumor. She is a bag of bones and I am not sure she will survive the op to remove it.
If she does, is the tumour likely to be malignant or bening.
Thank you

I am very sorry; make or break operations are such an anxious time! Unfortunately, only a lab test can give you the answer your question and you won't know until removed tissue has been sent to a lab and examined there. Tumors can be either.
A lot also depends on whether the tumor is still encapsulated or has already spread and where it is located. :(

When is the operation? Until then, please offer your girl extra syringe feed to keep up her strength.

The tumour is at the back of her mouth but it is affecting her leg. The up is on Tuesday.
😭😭😭

I am very sorry, that is not a great place to have a tumor! :(

Please be strong for your girl and make the best of the time you have with her until the operation. Love transcends time, and you can pack an enormous amount of it into the shortest space of time. ;)

Your grieving process starts the moment you realise that a beloved pet or human may not survive. Your emotional upheaval is very normal.
Please take the time to read the links in my last post, which contain lots of tips what you can do for your girl until the operation, but also read this guide below. It has a chapter about looking after a terminally ill guinea pigs. Facing an operation that may not come off gives you the same emotional challenges. You will find it hopefully very helpful in the coming days when you are facing all your fears. If you feel overwhelmed by them, try to turn them into loving, healing energy to send on to your girl. ;)
