Two piggies to rodentologist today

I'm off to see a local rodentologist today, recommended by Vedra, with two piggies who are causing me concern.

One is She-Ra, one of our long term residents and Sponsor Piggy. She has dropped weight and is looking quite frail, although she does appear to be eating, but she is drooling so I suspect dental problems at the back somewhere.

The other is Baby B, a little piggy that has come back to me from a friend as she too has lost a lot of weight. Since coming here she has been gaining about 20g a day but is still only 640g. She is drinking an awful lot, so I fear this might be something more sinister, but we'll rule out teeth first.

Baby B might be diabetic You can dip the urine to find out

A urine test can give a basic indicator to the glucose levels in the urine, but these levels are heavily influenced by diet. A high glucose reading does not often mean diabetes.

Thanks Laura. She Ra had her bottom teeth clipped as they were too long and her back teeth were overgrown and catching her Tongue. She is on Daktarin oral gel now and already eating more. However they did say her teeth are so crumbly, they's never seen any quite like it.

Baby B's teeth were all fine, so her weightloss is not dental. She is still gaining weight nicely at 20g every day or so, so that's good, but I guess she'll need to see Vedra.

Lovely people, really wonderful, very glad I now know them and it looks like they're going to pop in next time they're near me and see the rescue
