Thank you Poppy'sMum. I shall get the Otodex drops for the first aid box instead of the ones I got the other day if they have been used with no problems.
I was searching for info about ear mites and head tilts because Saff suddenly started throwing her head to the side awkwardly the other day. I thought maybe it could be ear mites or a build up of wax so thought drops would help. She seems absolutely fine though... no more head tilting, nothing in her ears, holding her weight, eating well and seems happy and content... she really scared me.
I use Otodex for helping to clean the ears - but should a pig show signs of ear mites then a vet trip is best rather than self diagnosing and medicating as ear infections also present with the same symptoms but need entirely different treatment.
Only a good look, deep in the ear will tell the difference.
