Hi there!
I am thinking of getting some absorbant bath mats to use in some corners of my piggies cage that the guineadad fleece doesn't cover. However, there are so many types and brands that I'm not sure which would be absorbant enough and safe for guineas.
I live in the UK and I am looking to get something from Amazon, if any of you have experience with this, any product suggestions are welcome!
Ideally, I am looking for something that I could cut to shape as well.

** I have tried vet bed and I find it gets incredibly smelly and stays smelly after washing. Any suggestions on getting rid of the smell are also welcome :D (I currently wash them at 0° with non-scented detergent and white vinegar)

I think with the bath mats whilst they are absorbent I still always use them with a fleece liner underneath. I just find it keeps the main liners fresher for longer and is easier to shake hay off.
I’ve never cut them and not sure how they would stand up to that.
I have bought mine from IKEA and then just supermarkets and found them really good.

I agree with the above, I put bath mats at the end of the cage with the hay but still have fleece underneath as I find they get smelly quicker. I also use the IKEA ones the noodle type without a rubber back are best, I think a lot of people get them from the likes of Wilko, ASDA and B&M too. Amazon have always been a bit expensive I have found!

I have found the best ones to be mats I bought from either Morrisons or Dunhelm. Mine have been on mats and fleece for years (with a thick layer of towels under the mats).

I much prefer my Ikea mats to Primark or Asda bought ones...the Ikea ones seem more absorbent and quicker drying, I’ve no idea why! Also the stripy Ikea ones lost a little shape compared with the plain coloured ones so avoid the stripes!

I have Asda and Wilko ones on top of my fleece/mattress protector main layer.

As they're quite large, I cut some in half...it was a bit tough to get through the sewing machine but I got there in the end.

I was sceptical about bath mats but they work really well. I have one from asda and another from wilkos, both noodle mats. Both stay really dry, I was shocked how well they work. Quite big too. £6 each.

I keep them on top of fleece and towel but pee never gets through to the towel.
