Unsure On What To Do!

I hate it when pet shops say "he's been alone all his life so don't stress him out" because it's bull lol. He would love a friend.

Neutering, when done by a good vet, would be absolutely fine for such a young boy! Just need to make sure you have a decent vet though, your typical "dog" vets are pretty useless and can mess it up.

Good luck for you and your handsome boy!

How are your girls doing now?
We are in the middle of moving house so putting all thoughts about an extra pig away until then lol (boyfriend won't let me till we're settled). I'd love to neuter him so he could go with Noodle but I would be to scared she's my baba!

I think I am going to get another boar for Hudson in the future and then he doesn't have to have any ops! If I do have to neuter i will be using the vet on the locator in Stockton-on-Tees.

The girls are doing better, this time apart is doing good for me as I get to give them cuddles and get them used to me lol. I have ordered 4 more c&c panels so they will still be together as of next week just not able to bully each other. That's what I suspect was going on. They get to see each other every day and are interacting through the bars. Think it has hit MoMo a lot worse than Noodle tho. Hopefully all will settle next week. Thank you for asking ❤

I put my boar in the same C&C as the girls, just separated them with grids, he used to come up to the divider & natter away, put him in with my 3 girls after being neutered & waiting 6 weeks. Disaster they hated him, put him with a boar that didn't well eiether. We have put him in with a very young sow & I think they are ok?
Maybe Hudson was by himself because they kept him like that. Maybe if your going to have him neutered I'd give him the chance of pairing him up. I don't think piggies are supposed to be lone.

IMG_0057.webp there is a risk when you put any animal under anaesthetic even a cat or a dog you could leave them but I was scared like you where to get my boys can you charge because one of them was for and they both know we live quite happily with two female baby piggies I'm loving being in a big group
Both boys came through the operation no problem I was worried of course about losing my older one but I'm glad I've done it because know that they're in a big group your life have to magically improved

The girls are staying together but with a divider hoping all goes well next week as they had a scuffle so been separated. MoMo is to boisterous to be in a 3 she is a big lump and thinks she isn't hurting anyone but does lol.

I'm thinking of adopting/rehoming a baby or young boar for Hudson. Then I have an even number too lol x

That's unfortunate, but as there weren't any actual wounds (ie vet visit wounds) you can reintroduce. A bit of dominance is normal, not something to separate for.

I'm glad they're all doing well!

I'm back working now so bit uneasy about leaving them together without my supervision. Obviously I will try the divider and they will have run time together and sometimes laptime. I just think Noodle is back to herself again since coming away from MoMo. But it's all trial and error isn't it :) thank you x
