We have aquired a new fosterer called Donna from Bristol.
She has about 30-40 of her own and is happy to cover the Bristol area as she regulary gets pigs dumped or given to her and she just cant keep them all.

Any pigs Donna has for rehome are to be rehomed in the Bristol and surrounding areas only as its too far for driving purposes unless adopters want to cover the distance themselves.
Anyway Donna has her own page on the website www.becklenguineapigrescue.co.uk so theres no confusion what is there and not.

Excellent news :) Fosterers play such an important part of alot of rescues - I'd be lost without mine.

Hi,

wow that is great to find a foster carer but wondering why this has gone through yourselves and not any of the local rescues. There are 4 that work very closely with each other with another being set up as we speak. 3 of those are in Bristol and 1 is in very close.
 
Well done for offering Donna - it's always great to have an extra pair of hands and fosterers play a vital role backing up a rescue. :):)





Fi, I'm sure it's up to the individual whom they choose to foster for and having extra help in the Bristol area can only be a good thing. :):)
 
Oh I totally agree it is just that she may not have known about the local ones. We need lots of help here especially as I have had to downsize because of expecting a baby.

We have known Donna on a personal level for quite some time now and she has mentioned fostering for us in the past. It's only now that she has offered to take this up and obviously as she knows us personally, this is why she wanted to help us in particular.
