After being incorrectly dosed with Convenia a week ago, I am delighted to say that Adric has made an excellent recovery.
My husband and I spent four days syringe feeding him as often as possible and giving plenty of pro-biotic. On Monday Adric started to look brighter and began feeding himself. We dropped the syringe feeding down to twice a day. Yesterday and today Adric is very much himself. Eating and drinking normally and starting to get excited when he sees a plate of veg!
I am so relieved. We will continue to syringe feed a couple of times a day to get his weight up and continue to give pro-biotics for a week or so- just to be on the safe side.
I thought it would be good to have another Convenia story with a happy ending. Bear in mind though that Adric is fit and healthy and was only suffering from mild conjunctivitis when he went to the vet. A very poorly piggy would obviously be weaker to start with.
