Hi there
Thought id keep you updated about Darwin who has bumble foot at the moment. Been to a new vet and he has prescribed Darwin a different antibiotic, septrim paediatric? Or something like that all I no it smells like bananas! having to give Darwin 0.5 twice everyday and I have to go back again in a week :) fingers crossed this works better! image.webp

That's good, Septrin is usually effective though I have not experienced it being used for Bumblefoot before so will be interested to see how it responds. Did he check his heart etc too?

Yeah hopefully, nope he didn't check his heart, he did say that if it doesn't clear up then he will have to go under light anethesthetic to dig into the foot and find out if there is something stuck in there that could be stopping it from heeling :( but hopefully won't come to that..
I've been keeping up with the cleaning of their hutch making sure it's cleaned everyday, and he still is on metacam for any pain he may be in

Ok, hopefully the Septrin will help. The reason I mention heart is that on one of your other threads I think I said that Bumblefoot can be caused by a heart issue so if it doesn't clear up then it would be worth asking the vet to check his heart.

OkAy when I go back for his check up if it hasn't cleared up then I shall ask him to check his heart :) thanks for your help
