Okay, I did get my guinea pig at a pet store (please no hate)
She's about 2 or 3 months and only 290 grams, she's been on Baytril since Monday(it's Saturday) for a URI. She's had diarrhea yesterday but it seems to have gone away, she sneezes and has a little bit of a snotty nose. She was put on Revolution even though the vet didn't see anything under the microscope, but it looked like nits around her ears and neck.

I've been so stressed and I need some reassurance since the vet isn't open.

Hi! I am very sorry that you are having such a tough start. Both URI and skin parasites/fungal are not at all uncommon in stressed shop piggies with a lowered immune system, as they are highly transmittable opportunists.

Baytril is well known for causing loss of appetite and diarrhoea, but it is unfortunately still the only officially licensed antibiotic for guinea pigs. Please get some probiotic, if necessary from a pet shop, to help the guts. Weigh your little one daily as long as she is ill, then weekly. Make sure that your little girl has plenty of hay to steady the guts; it should make up to 80% of the daily food intake. Be careful with feeding veg, especially if your little girl's guts are not yet used to them; that can also cause diarrhea. You can give her 1/8 of a human vitamin C chewing tablet to help with the immune system.

Mange mites are not visible to the naked eye, but could the vet have noticed ear mites?

Please continue with the treatment.

Can't add any more than what Wiebke has mentioned above, lots of healing vibes to your little one

Thank you, I've read so much but it just stresses me out more. Thank you for the condensed version!

I do have another question. My guinea pig is almost done with her Bayril with only sneezing a few times a day. Would it be okay to have her in the same room as my other piggies? She's in a bad spot in the house and that may be the reason for her still sneezing.

I asked my vet about reintroducing when symptoms were gone but before antibiotics were finished and she said definitely don't! Its not worth it for the others to get sick and reintroducing might cause dominance issues that could stress your sick pig out.
