So OH and I have booked a cruise for November. Now I went on a girls trip last year and he stayed at home. Our family lives many hours away. We will be gone for a week and with 8 piggies, I am really struggling with finding boarding for them. The vet wants 20 dollars a day per piggy and we will be gone for 9 days! That’s 1440!! :yikes: That’s 60 dollars less than we have saved for emergency vet bills which is absolutely insane! Does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do? What have you guys done in the case of vacation? If I could I’d smuggle them on the cruise ship but that’s not possible!
 
Have you a trusted friend or neighbour you can ask? I'm lucky as my neighbour used to breed them but if she's not available then I have another couple of friends who will look after my herd of 5. I write everything down in detail for them to follow easily, leave a weeks worth of veg in the fridge and the number of the vet just in case.

Most of our friends are back home. I have one lady I could ask here and hopefully she could! I just can’t justify paying almost as much to board the piggies as it was for the vacation. We’re off to Cozumel Mexico, Belize, and Roatan Bay Honduras! It’s OH’s first cruise! Where are you off to on yours?

Going up the Norweigan Fjords for a week, A weekend cruise to Guernsey and a week starting at Palma de Majorca and visting Italy, Monaco and Marseilles. First one in July, last one in October. You cruise sounds great. Always wanted to do that one but its very expensive as its a long old flight for us.
 
Have a looks around for small pet boarding in your area, it should be a lot cheaper than what the vets are charging!

Oh goodness sounds like a dream! But would be a terribly long flight for us as well! First one is getting quite close for you, November seems forever away for us :)
