I am experimenting with different veggies for my two girls. The advice for amounts seems to be a cup per day per pig. I've also seen advice of 50 grams and 10% of the body weight. Depending on the vegetable and how it's prepped the 1 cup can be a large range based on weight. My girls are between 1.1 and 1.3 kg, so 10% is 100 g of veggies. Is there a range for veggiie weight per day? Should I adjust only if my piggies gain too much weight?

Also the advice for hay never says how it is measured. By calories? Weight? Volume? Amount of time spent sitting in the hay pile and pooping?

Hay cannot be measured - you simply ensure there is a large fresh pile in the cage at all times. It is the majority of their food intake, so any weight they gain is down to a good amount of hay consumption (they should not gain weight from veg and pellets as they are daily snacks and need to be kept limited). Any weight loss is down to reduced hay intake.

Veggies - don’t overthink it! One cup per pig per day is plenty. It is nothing more than a daily snack. Focus on leafy veg and herbs. Keep sugary and root veg limited to treats.
There is a sample plate in this guide as to how much veg to feed per pig per day
