Veggies when going out on grass

Hi!
So I was wondering if guinea pigs need their veggies (which I would normally give in the morning) if they are going out on grass later that day as I usually just give them a bit less but should I still be giving them the same amount or none at all on days when they go out onto the grass.

Spring grass generally counts as veg, so I tend to give them less veg but it also depends how long they’ve been put on the lawn. In the summer when the grass is drier, more hay like, then I tend to give veg as normal

I still give mine their veg too, just not at the same time. It depends how much grass they are getting really, if a lot I would cut down on the veg a bit

I agree. When mine have been on the grass, I just give them a little less veg
