I have noticed that my pig, Oscar, has very slight thinning of his hair on his nose. It's only very, very slight thinning, but I just noticed it. Other than that, his eyes/ears/nose are all working as they should and look healthy and he has a (very) healthy appetite and apart from the odd itch, doesn't seem to be any mites (for once...thank heavens for ivermectin and lovely mite-busting baths!). There is no thinning anywhere else, just the very end of his upper snout at the very front. He is three-years-old. Funnily enough, I noticed this in my other pig, Elliot, a few months ago, but it quickly went back to normal. Again, on him, there was no loss of fur elsewhere, just on the very end of his pesky nose! Charlie, my third boar, doesn't have any hair loss. He's an abyssinian! God forbid if his precious whirly-fur fell out!

Is it in a strip at all which looks white underneath? Does he chew his bars?
