Hi guys one of my newest skinny pigs, Pepper has a really sore grease gland. I have her booked in for tonight but was wondering whether anyone has experienced this before?

That looks very sore and may be infected, definitely needs a vet check and probably some antibiotics and pain relief prescribing by the vet.
Yes we've had a mucky grease gland with Piggle but its never been particularly sore, it just needs regular cleaning- this looks quite different... hope the vet can help x

I agree with @PigglePuggle - this looks infected and needs to see a vet as should any really bad grease gland. They can become infected and in rare cases even cancerous, so it is always better to have them checked when they are beyond normal parameters, look sore or you struggle to get any crusts off.

She is only 8 weeks old Bless her, taking her in an hour. Thanks for your support

So back from the vets, Pepper is believed to have an infection of the grease gland so is on some antibiotics. Lots of cuddles and extra pepper also prescribed 💕
