I notice that there are a number of posts about health issues that crop up over weekends and holidays when normal vet practices are closed.
Look for a veterinary hospital which will give 24/7 care and advice.
We have one about 12 miles from where I live. They were wonderful when one of my ( now deceased) piggies had a Christmas Day emergency.
It may always be worth checking for one in emergency.

@Merab's Slave There's always an emergency vet available 24/7, although it will probably not be at your regular vet practice.

However it is worth a ring around as some vets do offer a 24 hour service.

I would always just ring my vets and if they are closed then they give the details of the emergency vets on the answerphone. Funnily enough it takes 2 mins to drive to the emergency vet but 20-60 to my vets depending on traffic :)) I know the vets for pets in Hinckley (where there is a specialist) is open on Sundays as it's in a pets at home store
