Good News: Casran's eye is finally on the mend. Have to carry on with the eye drops for another week and go back to the vet in a week as well to make sure it's all okay. Fingers crossed.

More good news: The vet (who was part of the team that carried out the procedure on Casran's eye Tuesday) tried to explain how infections either travel inwards or stay across the surface of the eyeball and said there is no sign it's gone inwards so damage SHOULD be superficial and reversible in terms of healing. Whoop whoop whoop.

Accidental good news: When I was holding Casran for the vet to look in Casran's eye he said: "wow, that's a well handled guinea pig." I just blushed x

That's good news! Nibbles scratch on her eyeball seems to be getting better too but the area round her eye isn't. We've got another vet visit tomorrow - I keep asking him if it might be fungal but he doesnt think it is. After tomorrow's trip I might be going for a second opinion....

What's happened to the area around her eye? x

Aww @PiggySmitten that must be distressing for both of you. If your instincts say get a second opinion I'd say go with your gut - what harm can it do. Hugs x
