After experiencing stomach problems with marzipan for the past five days and to top it off bakewell having the same symptoms (white paste from bum and dis formed poos) I'am going to our trusted veterinary clinic and any known drugs for these symptoms with good results could you please post their name and whether they worked ?
Thanks Astrid

It sounds like gut motility problems :( Have they been out on grass much lately?
yes they have quite a bit lately the vet superscribed anti biotic's and she checked for a temperature and there was none so that was good x

Best of luck! Digestive problems cannot easily be diagnosed via the internet, they really require a vet and, if persistent/recurring, lab tests.

Always take any piggy with digestive issues off fresh food to help stabilise the guts, weigh daily at the same time and hand feed if necessary. If things don't clear up within a day or if there is fluid diarrhea, you need to see a vet, in the latter case asap.

Marzipan had developed stomach problems and Bakewell has also picked it up, I took them to the vet and they subscribed anti biotic's dose anyone have any experience with them any tips or pros and cons ?
Thanks Astrid x

I hope they recover soon.

Hope you got on ok at the vets?

If they were my furball babies i would try taking them off of everything except Fresh Water, Hay &Nuggets (nuggets if you use them) for a couple of days, then add fresh foods one at a time, over a few days each new food, also if you give them a topup of a probiotic to help the gut recover its natural good bacteria.

If going out to grass i would add a handful or so for a couple of days, then a few handfulls a day, then up to 15mins lawn time for 2-3 days, then 30mins etc, until they are used to grass again. Doing it too soon with fresh foods can cause bloat, which is a whole new ball game of problems

Speedy recovery to your boys, from the girls &I
xx:hug:

Lots of healing vibes to them. What Anti-biotics are they on?

Yes my girls have been diagnosed with some sort of stomach infection (not sure which one as there are many there white fluid/paste is going to be sent off for tests) the vet said that they are fine to be kept on a normal diet for now until they have a better understanding for now they are on anti biotic's x
